Medical Entrepreneurship & The $10 Challenge

  • by admin - Fri, 06/17/2016 - 11:31

Through the $10 Challenge, Fellows are asked to identify an unmet medical need and invent new solutions or new applications of existing technology. They will have to use different disciplines to solve the problem at a cost of less than $10 per patient. The five $10 Challenge groups each include a LFCRF Fellow, a UCSF or Stanford medical student, an Innovation Centre Denmark, Silicon Valley (website) ICDK intern, a faculty member, and are led by an experienced entrepreneur mentor. All mentors are world-leading Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, who have taken successful companies public in the past. Groups meet monthly for lectures on entrepreneurship. All ideas will be pitched at a competition at ICDK and thereafter made available in the public domain.
